Project Portfolios
Research funded under the Animal Health Programme (AHP) must respond to the changing circumstances within the developing world and address the issues that most affect the rural poor. Such research must be seen to make an effective contribution.

Focusing on people and their livestock, AHP research must target appropriate groups of livestock keepers and livestock species for whom the Programme can have specific relevance. Research projects are grouped under four inter-related thematic research areas address the animal health problems of these target groups:

  1. Zoonotic diseases - Human health impacts of animal diseases
  2. Vaccine development
  3. Diagnostics and decision support tools
